Our products are designed by Frederic Leroy, former head of technical outdoor products at Decathlon, and later Millet. Fred is well known for his passion for the sport of fishing and his obsession to detail and the finishing of his products. He is proud that his products often exceed in quality and technicality some of the more famous brands. Plus, our cost structure allows us to remain very competitive in our pricing. The result is quality product at affordable prices.

A "layered" approach is recommended to protect yourself and remain comfortable in extreme conditions. Our use of technical fibers and breathable membranes allows for the retention of warmth while allowing sweat and moisture to evacuate from the surface of the skin. It is not recommended, for example, to wear cotton as a base layer as it retains perspiration and moisture and does not retain body heat. Newly developed synthetic fibers wick away perspiration and allow for the moisture to be released. The following is a brief explanation of the 3 layered approach to managing the elements and allowing for a comfortable and enjoyable fishing experience.

1 - The first layer, or base layer, is in contact with the skin and allows for the transfer of sweat and moisture. Synthetic fibers wick away perspiration leaving the skin feeling cool and dry. In order for the base layer to function correctly, it is necessary that the middle layer and outer layer are constructed using breathable materials.

2 - The second layer, or middle layer, ensures the body is insulated, and preserves the core body heat. New technical fabrics allow for this type of heat retention while still offering breathability.

3 - The external layer protects the body from the elements: rain, wind and cold. Waterproof membranes allow for protection from rain and wind while still remaining breathable.

1/ No hidden shipping costs.
It is our policy to share in the cost of shipping our products to our customers, and to be crystal clear about any shipping costs involved in a purchase. It is our aim to eliminate any unwelcome surprises at the end of the ordering process. In fact, there are NO additional shipping charges for destinations in the E.U. and Switzerland for purchases greater than 80 euros, and for all other international destinations, for purchases greater than 168 €. We ship our products by registered mail (Colissimo) with shipping times to French destinations of between 2 and 4 days, and shipping times to all other E.U. destinations of between 4 and 8 days. If you have a deadline (a trip, a birthday, etc), you can request 24 hour express delivery via Chronopost for E.U. destinations, but the cost of the express shipping is your responsibility and will be invoiced to you. The timelines for other international destinations will vary according to location.

2/ Payments 100% protected
We understand the importance of security for your on-line credit card transactions. That is why have chosen to work with Bank Crédit du Nord and its ATOS system. This systems solution guarantees the confidentiality and security of each transaction. Your confidential data is encrypted and transmitted directly to the Bank Crédit du Nord server. fieldandfish.com has neither access, nor visibility of your banking data.

3/ 10 day Guarantee “Satisfaction or your money back”
Under French law customers have 7 days, from the delivery date of their goods, to return them for a full refund. fieldandfish.com grants 3 additional days for you to decide. That gives you a full 10 days to fall in love with our product (or not!). Should you wish to return your purchase, we offer a full refund as long as the the articles are returned, a) in good order (i.e. we can resell them without any problem), b) you include the invoice that was shipped with your purchase, and c) you return your goods in their original packing material. The shipping costs for the return of product is the responsibility of the customer and the goods remain the responsibility of the customer until they are physically received by us. if they are lost during shipment there will be no refund, so we advise you to send your retruned goods by registered mail that will require us to sign for the goods when received.

4/ It's easy to exchange/return goods
You can order without fear or reservations at fieldandfish.com! An ordered article doesn't entirely satisfy you? We make it possible for you to return it to us within 10 days starting from the date you receive your order. If the size of an article doesn't work for you, simply return it to us with a word of explanation, and we will replace the item with your desired size. The shipping cost for returning goods is the responsibility of the customer, so, again, we recommend shipment by registered mail. 5/ Email alert when an article is back in stock
We keep, on average, 3,000 articles in stock as our goal is to satisfy customer orders ASAP, but if an article is not available in a given size, the site will notify you when you attempt to place the article in your shopping cart. if this should happen to you, we ask you to shoot us a quick email and let us know what article you are interested in purchasing. We will respond quickly with the expected date of the new stock.
